In order to understand the mission of Cheryl's Products, you must first go behind the woman: Cheryl Talley Moss. She's a woman who wears many hats. Cheryl is the definition of today's Renaissance woman. Throwing herself 100% into what she does, passion is at the root of Cheryl's success.

Long before Cheryl was living her dream of being a published author of fiction and nonfiction and creating healthy hair and skin care products, she was a award-winning beauty college manager/educator and salon owner. Cheryl, a native of Gary, Indiana, has wanted to write romance suspense novels since she began reading romance novels when she was a teenager. Cheryl has also wanted to be an entrepreneur for as long as she can remember. In fact, she was a member of the Future Business Leaders of America in high school.

Cheryl honed her skills as a multicultural hair & skin care specialist during her twenty-five years experience in the beauty industry.  Over 20 years ago, Ms. Moss worked as the assistant to the chemist of the research and development department at E. F. Young Jr. Manufacturing Company, one of the oldest manufacturers of cosmetics and hair care products. Cheryl's background also includes a broad range of management and consulting experience.

In 1992, Cheryl Talley Moss became the first African American woman to own a full-service hair salon in a shopping mall in Mesquite, Texas. It was also the same year Ms. Moss became a breast cancer survivor.

Cheryl began making her own Shea Butter Skin Cream (over 15 years ago) to soothe the severe burns she received from the results of seven weeks of radiation therapy. She believes God spared her life for a reason, and is determined to share all the gifts and talents God has blessed her with.

In 1998, Cheryl was elected to serve as president of the Big Town Mall Board of Trade in Mesquite, Texas. She was the first African American to hold the position.

In 1999 Ms. Moss wrote, self-published, and sold over 6 thousand copies of her self-help book, Healthy Hair Care Tips for Today's Black Woman.

The same year, the Black Woman's Guide to Healthy Hair made the bestseller's list on Cush.City.com.

Cheryl has been featured in several national magazines, including Blactress and Eclipse to discuss her best selling hair guide.

Healthy Hair Care Tips For Today's Black Woman continues to be a “must-read” for urban-contemporary stylists and clients alike.

In 2001 the Total Woman Tour (sponsored by Pantene and Tampax) honored Ms. Moss by selecting her as The Best Hair Care Expert of Mesquite, Texas.

Cheryl released her debut novel, Sooner or Later in 2004. The critically acclaimed romance suspense deals with very real issues such as sexual assault, obesity, discrimination in the workplace, infidelity and baby momma drama.

Cheryl was honored to be featured on the front page of her hometown newspaper after releasing her second book.

In 2005, after many years of research and testing her personal care products on her multicultural hair clients, Cheryl launched Cheryl's Products.  Her affordable, high-quality products are formulated to be beneficial to everyone, regardless of race.

Television personality Tonya Blount endorsed Cheryl's Products in 2007.

The inspiration for Cheryl’s Products came from her mother, (pictured above with Cheryl), the late, Mildred Williams Talley. Cheryl has fond memories of her mother whipping natural, moisturizing and nourishing ingredients into hair and skin care products.

Cheryl is a beauty consultant as well as a confident & frequent lecturer. She resides in Mesquite, Texas where she is promoting her books and healthy products inspired by nature for your hair, skin and spirit.

On any given day you can find Cheryl creatively multitasking. She enjoys traveling, singing, reading, gardening, crocheting, sewing and designing jewelry.
